Types Of Clauses in Grammar.

A clause has some simmilarities as the phrase that is it is the combination of relative words but a clause has subject and verb and it does not have subject,but the phrase does not have subject and object.The clause is divided into two catagaries such as,

  1. Dependent clause.
  2. Independent clause.
  3. Noun clause.
  4. Adverb clause.
  5. Relative clause.
  • Noun clause.
The noun clause works like a noun in a sentence.


  • Adverb clause.
The adverb clause works like adverb in a sentence.


  • Dependent clause.
A clause that does not describe the complete views and emotions and depend on another clause to complete its self.It does not a complete sentence.


  • Independent clause.
A clause that describes it complete views and expression and do not depend upon the other clause. The independent clause is a complete sentence.


  • Relative clause.
A relative clause describes the meanings of clause accordingly and it shows limited meanings of sentence.
